Schouten China is founded by Schouten and Nelissen in 2007, European market leaders in soft power, team performance, and leadership development. Initially established in the Netherlands, the company has since spread globally. Over the past 43 years, Schouten Education Group has served thousands of companies in more than 50 countries and across dozens of industries worldwide.

Our Story
We, at Schouten China, strongly believe that in organizations, only people can make a difference. Teams and organizations will perform better when people develop their communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. When people grow to the best version of themselves and unleash their full potential, in the end, organizations and the world will be a better place. We believe experiential learning is the only way for sustainable learning of soft skills and behavior change. In our training, we create a safe learning environment where participants can experiment with new behavior, practice, and learn from each other.
Tsjitske Dijkstra and Ton Dijkzeul are the major shareholders of Schouten China. They are both Industrial and Organizational Psychologists and have been working in Learning and Development as trainers and coaches for more than 30 years. Since 2007 they have been travelling through China several times. They have fallen in love with the people and the country from the beginning. It was their dream to work and live in China. In 2018 they started working for Schouten China and started sharing their knowledge and experience with Chinese companies, organizations, trainers and participants.
Schouten China
In 2007 Schouten China entered the Chinese market and introduced soft skill training and assertiveness in China. We started with delivering training for multinationals in English and educated Chinese trainers in our way of training: experiential learning. Soon we could also run our classes in Chinese. At this moment, we deliver our services to multinational companies, joint ventures, NGOs, Governmental organizations, and Chinese commercial companies. We have two branches, one in Beijing and one in Shanghai. Together with our team, we serve clients all over China. In 2011 Schouten China introduced Co-active Coaching in China, and together with CTI, we developed Chinese speaking Leaders. In 2017 with Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC), we introduced the first systems coaching program to be accredited by the International Coaching Federation. The unique team and system approach of ORSC is that it focuses on the relationship itself, not only the individuals occupying it.
